ISLAND LODGE ADVENTURES

NTWALA ISLAND LODGE - VICTORIA FALL
NTWALA
WAS LISTED IN TRAVEL & LEISURE 2006
AS ONE OF THE TOP 50 ROMANTIC DESTINATIONS
IN THE WORLD

Surrounded
on all sides by seductively wild and powerful
waterways, Ntwala Island Lodge is a pristine
and secluded destination. Intricate floating
walkways link an untouched Namibian cluster
of islands within the Mambova rapids where
two mighty African rivers – the Zambezi
and Chobe converge, upstream from the Victoria
Falls. White sand and palm trees heighten
the romance - belying the fact that this
lodge is in Africa!

Ntwala Island Lodge is comprised of four
ultra luxury styled suites artfully appointed,
each inclusive of a private plunge pool
fringed by white sand and an opulent viewing
deck, bay bath feature, indoor and outdoor
shower, as well as a private pier extending
enticingly over the water. We ensure personalized
service and culinary expertise. Guest choice,
comfort and privacy are paramount. The island
offers exclusivity and isolation –
a complete holistic African experience.

The lodge is ultra luxurious and at the
same time ensures our ethos of low impact
tourism. Activities at Ntwala are privately
guided. A boat and naturalist guide is assigned
to each suite. The proximity to Chobe National
Park ensures guests will have an exclusive
and comprehensive wildlife experience.

CUISINE
We offer excellent cuisine "al fresco"
style in a variety of romantic settings.
We offer a fully stocked bar and are proud
of our comprehensive range of South African
wines, rarely seen in such remote destinations!
Our lodges romantically cater for special
occasions such as honeymoons, anniversaries
and birthdays. Guests are routinely surprised
with sunset dinners on a sandy, riverbank,
or a candlelit dinner for 2 on your own
deck, or a champagne brunch at the historical
baobab. Our chefs cater for any special
dietary requirements.
ACTIVITIES
Apart from luxurious accommodation, culinary
delights, and a belief that guests should
be able to choose how they spend their leisure
time, a wide variety of activities are offered.
Inclusive activities are: birding, fishing,
game drives by boat into the Chobe Refuge,
sunset cruises, guided walks, cultural village
visits and river cruises.
It
is our policy that all activities are professionally
guided, and we have the expertise to cater
for special interest visitors such as birders
and anglers. We have enough boats, vehicles
and guides at our lodge to meet your expectations.
Most activities are included in our tariffs.

a wild and untouched island of Africa.
Situated in north eastern Namibia, our
island is along the remote Kwando River
- a permanent water source which nourishes
delicate ecosystems and sustains varied
game and birdlife. Relaxation, privacy
and comfort are paramount here.
Susuwe Island Lodge is built among the
riverine forest. The main complex has
lofty canopy viewing decks overlooking
endless savannahs, glistening lily-studded
wetlands and ancient Kalahari woodlands.
A welcoming fire pit, spacious lounge,
dining areas, curio shop and small reference
library are part of the lodge.

Six
spacious brick and thatch suites equipped
with double bathroom, bedroom, lounge
and wooden viewing deck each with private
plunge pool offer our visitors the opportunity
to merge unhurriedly with Africa's timeless
evolution of hazy days and star-studded
nights. Mosquito nets, overhead fans
and hairdryers as well as generated
electricity are provided.
We conduct excellent game drives in
open 4 x 4 vehicles in the Bwabwata
National Park.
Game sightings in this cradle of rivers
may include vast herds of roaming Elephant
and Buffalo, Lion, Hippo, Leopard, Sable,
Roan, Lechwe and Puku. Night drives
